1. The Most Important Thing: Your Clients' Data is Yours

Before we get into the technical details, we want to be completely clear about how we handle the information of the people you send content to (your prospects, leads, and clients):

  • We do not collect or store your targets' data. When you personalize a piece of content with a prospect's name or custom message, that customization happens locally on your device.
  • That information is never sent to our servers, nor is it stored by us in any way.

2. Information We Collect About You (The Seller)

To provide you with branded content and keep the app running smoothly, we do collect information about you and how you use the app.

A. Information You Provide to Us

To set up your account and brand your daily posters, we collect:

  • Account Information: Your name and email address (used for authentication and account management).
  • Branding Information: Your profile picture or logo, and your business contact information (e.g., website, phone number, address) so we can restore it when you re-install the app.
B. Information We Collect Automatically

To understand how the app is performing and to fix bugs, we collect certain usage data. According to our Apple App Store privacy labels, this includes:

  • User ID: Linked to your account to ensure app functionality and accurately measure analytics.
  • Product Interactions: Data on how you use the app (e.g., which features you click on) to help us improve the user experience. This data is linked to your account but is not used for third-party tracking.
  • Crash Data: Anonymous logs that tell us if the app crashes, helping us fix technical issues quickly. This data is not linked to your identity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to make ReferSell work for you. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Authenticate your login and manage your subscription.
  • Automatically brand your daily content with your specific details.
  • Send you push notifications when new daily content is ready.
  • Analyze app performance and user behavior to build better features.
  • Fix crashes and technical bugs.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to help run our app. These services only have access to the data necessary to perform their specific tasks:

  • PostHog: We use PostHog for usage analytics to understand how people interact with the app so we can improve it.
  • Apple (App Store): All subscription payments and billing are handled securely by Apple. We do not collect or store your credit card information.

5. Tracking and Advertising

We do not track you across other apps and websites. The analytics data we collect is strictly for our internal use to improve ReferSell. We do not sell your personal data, your contact information, or your usage data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

6. Your Data Rights

You are in control of your personal information. Within the ReferSell app, you can:

  • Update or change your branding and contact information at any time.
  • Toggle your push notification preferences.
  • Request the deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting our support team. Just send us an email with the subject line: "Delete account: youremail@appleorgmail.com". Please make sure you send this email from the Google/Apple email with which you registered.
